How to Import Opening Warehouse Stock (Beginning Balance)
This is the fastest way to load your current physical stock (all 6 items or 600) into the warehouse in one go.
- Go to Settings → Company Information →
- In warehouses, click Set beginning balance (carton icon)
- Select warehouse from dropdown list and click Confirm
For manually add:
- Click the add button on the top right
- Select item from Item code or Item name dropdown list.
- Add its Quantity and Cost per unit
- Click Import Opening Balance (top-right button)
- Click Download template → you’ll get a simple Excel with these columns: Item code | Item name (optional) | Quantity | Unit of measure | Cost per unit (USD)

- Save as .xlsx (one sheet only) → drag file or click to upload → Import preview
- System will auto-match by Item code
- Green/orange = recognised & valid
- Red = error (usually wrong/missing code – fix directly in preview)
- When everything is green/orange → Confirm import
Done. Your warehouse now shows real stock + correct landed cost for all items. Next step → run Stock Valuation report to see total warehouse value in USD.
(If you have more than 6 items, just keep adding rows – same file works for thousands.)
